Doug Bolick Director, Newburyport, Massachusetts Hailing from Charlotte NC, Doug Bolick earned a Bachelor's degree in international relations from UNC-Chapel Hill, a J.D. from George Washington University, and a Master's in tax law from Boston University. He served as an Army military intelligence officer from 1966-1971, including tours of duty attached to the 1st Special Forces Group in Okinawa and as an advisor in Vietnam. He currently lives and practices law in the old seaport town of Newburyport, MA. Doug has served on or led Global Volunteers teams to Jamaica, India, Vietnam, Kazakhstan and the USA.
Kathleen Ismail Director, Boston, MA Kathleen spent her career in Human Resources, most recently as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Atari, Inc. She also directed Human Resources departments at Cambridge Technology Partners, Logica Inc., Nixdorf Computer Engineering Corporation, Computer Corporation of America, and Shawmut Bank of Boston. Kathleen current serves as Global Volunteers' part-time volunteer Human Resource consultant. She has served on or led Global Volunteers programs in Guatemala, Vietnam, Ghana, Peru, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Romania, India and the USA.

John Potter Director, New York, NY John joined Overseas Private Investment Corporation(OPIC) early in his career, and became director of finance for South America. He joined American Express Bank, a subsidiary of American Express Company in the mid 1970s, working primarily in developing countries. For much of his career with "AMEX," he lived overseas managing the company's regional offices. After retiring from American Express Bank, he continued to do occasional special assignments until the bank was sold. John has volunteered in Russia and Kazahkstan with Global Volunteers.
Bonnie Rietz Director, Austin, Minnesota Bonnie served as Mayor of Austin MN from 1997-2007, as well as President of the League of Minnesota Cities, the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities and the Minnesota Mayors' Association. Bonnie and her husband Tim served as missionaries in Madagascar for four years, where she taught English in the American School and French at a Malagasy High School. They have also volunteered in Cameroun, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Peru. Bonnie currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Blandin Foundation, the Hormel Foundation, and the Riverland Community College Foundation.
Kenny Slutsky Director, Manhatten Beach, CA
Kenny is currently a private investor and member of the Saybrook Capital Advisory Board. He formerly was managing director of Sepulveda Capital, Vice-chairman of the Candle Corporation, and President of the Casey Company. Prior to 1980, he practiced securities and international tax law in Atlanta, GA. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bowdoin College and earned a J.D. from Emory University School of Law. He remains an inactive member of the State Bar of California and has served with Global Volunteers in Costa Rica.
