Bud Philbrook, CEO: Bud Philbrook practiced business and government law in private practice for 12 years while overseeing the development of the organization. In 1994, he closed his law firm to become the full-time president and CEO. Before law school, Bud was an assistant director of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and served in the Minnesota State Legislature. Michele Gran, Vice President: Michele manages the organization's marketing communications programs. She has a Master's Degree in Liberal Studies/International Communications and a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism. Before joining the staff in 1990, she served non-profit clients as a public relations consultant while raising her three children. She also worked as an account manager at a Twin Cities-based public relations and advertising firm, as an event organizer for the United Way, and for three departments in Minnesota State Government.
