Ivone Da Silva, Brazil Country Manager: Ivone solicited Global Volunteers to work in her country in 2005, expressing the desire to help children in need. Following our extensive team leader training in Minnesota, she joined our staff in 2006. Ivone has an extensive working knowledge of Brazilian culture, which she shares with all volunteers on our Brazil programs.

Benjamin Tamatey, Assistant to Ghana Country Manager: Benjamin began working with Global Volunteers in 2007. He assists Richard with all aspects of team leading, as well as provides support in communicating with volunteers prior to their arrival and other program management tasks. He has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Ghana and has worked on USAID funded educational projects using Participatory Learning and Action techniques. He also worked as a newscaster for KINGS Radio in Ghana.

Haran Ngede, Tanzania Country Manager: Haran has served as Tanzania country manager since 2002. He has studied at Mzumbe Morogoro region Eastern Tanzania and for two more years at the National Service Course, Lake Victoria Region. Haran Ngede
Mohammad Kassim, Tanzania Consultant: Mohammad has studied mechanics, plumbing, welding, farming and planting at the National Service. He is a former guide at the State Travel Service, a park ranger at Ngorogoro Conservation Authority Area and a driver conservation education specialist. In 1996, he became a driver for a tour company and was hired through the company to drive Global Volunteers teams to the host communities.
