A fun day of exploring the city of Xi’an

Thought for the day:

“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing you can do is keep your mind young.”   Mark Twain, US humorist, novelist, short story author, & wit (1835 – 1910)

It is hard to believe we have completed 2 of 3 weeks of our teaching assignment. Today was dedicated to rest, relaxation, hiking, sightseeing, and shopping. Cindy and Curtis went to Huashan Mountain. Donald met with some former students. Laverne and Maryanne explored the textile markets in the Beilin district of Xi’an.  Judy, Bill and Grace viewed some of the city via the public bus system and spent the afternoon shopping at the Moslem market.  We all met at the hotel for an evening dinner and lively discussion of the day’s events.
