Yes, you will receive a receipt via email upon completing the transaction from aswanson@globalvolunteers.org. Your gifts are tax deductible under US law and your receipt will detail the tax-deductible portion for your record.  The CARES Act allows every US taxpayer to deduct up to $300 ($600 per couple) for donations made to nonprofits like Global Volunteers in 2021. This deduction is in addition to the standard deduction, even if you don’t itemize other deductions on your annual taxes.

After you’ve processed your donation, you will receive a confirmation email that will provide links to either request a printed card in the mail or download an e-card that you can print at home or email to your honoree.  We will mail you the greeting card and envelope within three business days featuring the exact gift item purchased.  You can also immediately download an e-card that you can print-at-home or email to your honoree on the date you choose.

Included in the gift amount is the cost of the item or service, plus any program costs associated with delivering the item or service to the children and families we serve.

Yes! All gifts in the catalog are great for year-round giving as well as for the holidays. Consider donating a gift in honor of a friend’s or family member’s birthday, anniversary, graduation, or other holidays such as Mother’s Day or Father’s Day.

The “Gift Share” option enables you to contribute a portion of higher-cost gifts. Your donation is combined with other “Gift Share” donations to fund the full gift.
