Haircut on street

March 2, 2014, the second day of the second lunar month, marks traditional Chinese festival Long Tai Tou (The dragon raises its head).  It signals the start of spring, the beginning of all life, and the start of farming. A lot of traditions are held on this day. The popular ones are having a haircut, eating baked beans or popcorns and dragon whiskers noodles (very thin and long noodles).

Many people put off the date for haircut on purpose till this day. Because they believe that having a haircut on this day can bring good luck for the year. So go early or make appointment with your hairdresser early because they will have their busiest time that day in the year.
