UPDATED APRIL 8, 2021
In light of new travel guidelines by the CDC, we plan to resume some of our service programs on a limited basis in July, 2021. Our office remains open to respond to questions and to accept your registration for 2021 and 2022 dates.
We’ve taken a “cautious and conscientious” approach in scheduling volunteers to return to host countries. Our primary concern is the health and safety of our generous volunteers and the local children and families we serve.
These are the first service programs to resume:
Poland: Summer English Camps, June 27, 2021
Tanzania: Reaching Children’s Potential Program, July 31, 2021
USA: Appalachia – West Virginia, July 24, 2021
You will not be charged a transfer fee if you register now and transfer to a different program later.
We expect to resume service programs in all the following countries on a rolling basis in 2021.
As we’re able to confirm health and safety procedures in these partner communities, we’ll update our website and announce those programs to alumni volunteers and contacts. Please notify us of your interest in ongoing updates.
U.S. citizens considering traveling abroad should review the US State Department Travel Advisory for their destination(s) on https://travel.state.gov/
At Global Volunteers, we strive to connect people worldwide to wage peace and promote justice through meaningful and impactful service to children and their community. Our work has continued during the pandemic through frequent online consultations with our U.S. and international staff – who now are in place to scale our field operations back up. Please be assured your continued support has helped our partners endure unprecedented stress along with rapidly diminishing resources. Your presence in their communities is needed now more than ever. Thank you!
