Message of the day:

“Though April showers may come your way, they bring the flowers that bloom in May…..”

ThursdayThis has been a fairly routine day; we seem to be in the swing of things now. Following breakfast we met to discuss schedules for the rest of our tenure. There were a number of changes, but we are entirely flexible.

After the meeting we walked down the street to Wal-Mart to see what it has to offer in China. We spent most of our time in the grocery section which was amazing. Whatever we recognized (i.e. Pepperidge Farm cookies) was very expensive.  Everything else was unrecognizable or highly unusual: live turtles, frogs, live fish, and meat displayed unpackaged.

Today we each had three 4th grade classes and one 8th grade class.  Jack had good luck with all four classes, especially with the 8th graders and The Hokey Pokey. Linda had good experiences with the 4th graders. Errett had a great time talking about the Flying Tigers which the students seemed to be interested in. We are all becoming proficient in working with the students.
