Carl Granger, Mexico Country Manager: Carl is a Canadian national, and he has been living in the Queretaro area for the past five years managing the local office of an organization called Global Education Consultants. In addition to his job with GEC, Carl is a French professor at the Universidad Tecnologica de Queretaro, one of our host universities in Mexico.

Ivone Da Silva, Brazil Country Manager: Ivone solicited Global Volunteers to work in her country in 2005, expressing the desire to help children in need. Following our extensive team leader training in Minnesota, she joined our staff in 2006. Ivone has an extensive working knowledge of Brazilian culture, which she shares with all volunteers on our Brazil programs.

Samantha Pinakoulaki, Greece Country Manager: Samantha was born and brought up in the south of England and graduated from a London school of performing arts with honors.She spent 10 years travelling the world with various dance groups. Her last group took her to Crete in Greece, where she met her husband of 16 years. They now have five children. Samantha has volunteered her time to help mentally and physically handicapped children. She joined the Global Volunteers staff in 2005.

Mairin Colleary, Ireland Country Manager: A native of Dublin city, Mairin has been involved in reconciliation work since the 1970's. Deeply impacted by the conflict on the Island of Ireland, she is committed to integration through dialogue and bringing people together. Since 1992 Mairin has been a voluntary member of the Council of Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation.

Nia Salas, Costa Rica Country Manager: Nia has an MBA from the University of Costa Rica and a bachelors degree in Administration from the same university. She also studied at the Institute Francais in Paris, France, where she studied Marketing Communication. Besides Spanish and English she is also fluent in French.
