How is my donation spent?

By purchasing an item through the Gift Catalog, you are making a donation to Global Volunteers. All items in the Gift Catalog are representative of real resources, services, or support for programs provided by Global Volunteers and our community partners. However, unforeseen environmental, programmatic or economic challenges may cause items to be adjusted. Your donations will be used to provide assistance where it is needed most within that program area or to address a similar need. We are dedicated to using your donation to help children around the world reach their full potential.

Can I choose the country where my donation will benefit?

All donations support Global Volunteers mission to support children worldwide. Unless otherwise noted, you cannot select the country where your dollars will be put to work. Your donation will be used to provide assistance in the country where it is needed most.

Can I pay with a check?

Yes! Please make your check payable to Global Volunteers. To designate your donation, write your gift(s) on the memo line of your check and mail to our office address:

Will I receive a receipt for my gift and is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes, you will receive a receipt via email upon completing the transaction from aswanson@globalvolunteers.org. All items in the Gift Catalog are 100% tax deductible under US law, and your receipt will detail the tax-deductible portion for your record.

How can I access my greeting card(s)?

After you’ve processed your donation, you will receive a confirmation email that will provide links to either request a printed card which will be mailed to you within three business day, or immediately download an e-card that you can send to the honoree via email or print at home.

What’s included in the price of the item?

Included in the gift amount is the cost of the item or service, plus any program costs associated with delivering the item or service to the children and families we serve.

Is the gift catalog accessable year-round?

Yes! All gifts in the catalog are great for year-round giving as well as for the holidays. Consider donating a gift in honor of a friend’s or family member’s birthday, anniversary, graduation, or other holidays such as Mother’s Day or Father’s Day.
