Cook Islands Free Time
How much free time is there during the program?
Ample time is available after the work day and on weekends to enjoy the numerous nearby natural and cultural attractions.
 What are free-time options?
Walk the beautiful beaches, swim in the blue lagoons, snorkel, enjoy water sports, or watch beautiful sunsets...there are many wonderful opportunities for free time. You can explore the island on organized walking tours or at your own pace by renting a car or bicycle. There are reef-walking, whale-watching, and glass-bottom boat tours. You can take a weekend trip to the outer island of Aitutaki, which is considered by many to be the most beautiful island in the South Pacific.
Will Global Volunteers arrange free-time for me?
No. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, Global Volunteers is prohibited from making non-program-related arrangements for you. However, our team leaders and consultants can provide general guidance and advice, including a list of activities explored and enjoyed by previous teams. |
