American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA)
The American Holistic Nurses Association works to illuminate holism in nursing practice, community, advocacy, research and education. AHNA advances holistic nursing with:
- Community Building through online and print publications plus local, regional and national networking opportunities
- Advocacy to improve the healthcare workplace, sharing expertise in holistic self-care and wellness for nurses; contribute to holistic initiatives led by the American Nurses Association (ANA); respond to U.S. government policy initiatives and collaborate with the American Holistic Nurses’ Certification Corporation (AHNCC) to promote certification in holistic nursing and nurse coaching
- Research and scholarship in holistic nursing theory, education, ethics and practice
- Education of nurses and other healthcare professionals about effective holistic, complementary and integrative health care through ANCC-approved continuing nursing education (CNE) and education of the public about effective holistic, complementary and integrative health care.
The hope is to grow this collaboration through co-branded media — digital and printed — and promote the shared passions and efforts of both organizations and to bring much needed support to communities globally.
