As you explore our service program in the Cook Islands, we’d like to share more about program mobility so you know what to expect and can feel comfortable and confident during your experience.

Walking: Outside of town areas, there are limited sidewalks, and volunteers should be comfortable walking on uneven terrain along the roadway.

Community Project: Volunteers travel to and from schools by local bus and must be able to get on and off buses without assistance. All teaching takes place in ground-level classrooms.

Lodging: Rooms are on both main and second-level floors. Volunteers assigned to the second floor need to be comfortable climbing two flights of stairs.
