MORNING/AFTERNOON
Arrival. Upon arrival at the airport, you'll be met by a Global Volunteers representative as you exit baggage claim, who will transport you to your accommodations to check in.
EVENING
Welcome Dinner. Your team leader will join you and all the volunteers for dinner, introductions, and a description of the following day's orientation.
MORNING
Breakfast. At the hotel.
Orientation. This day focuses on establishing the group of volunteers as a functioning team. Sessions include reviewing why Global Volunteers was invited to the community, our community partners, the community projects, cultural immersion activities, important policies, staying healthy, safety, meals, lodging, and transportation.

Prepare. For final celebration. Some volunteers serve for one week, others for two. At the end of each volunteer's service program, Global Volunteers tradition is to celebrate the work that's been accomplished, the friendships established, the learnings achieved, and the joy experienced. Volunteers use this time to prepare for the final celebration.

Departure. Volunteers departing this Saturday are transported to Iraklion International Airport (HER) for their flight. Free time. Volunteers continuing their service program enjoy the weekend to explore. Whether it's tracing ancient ruins, relaxing on a sun-drenched beach, or catching a ferry to a neighboring island, it's your chance to experience the beauty of Greece beyond the classroom. Lunch.

Departure. Volunteers departing this Saturday are transported to Iraklion International Airport (HER) for their flight. Free time. Volunteers continuing their service program enjoy the weekend to explore.
