HIV and AIDS Education
Early, effective and compelling education is necessary to reverse the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Students and families need to know how the disease is contracted and how to prevent it. In partner communities where we’re asked to help educate students on HIV/AIDS prevention, our preferred text, “Where There Is No Doctor,” is a culturally sensitive, neutral tool which doesn’t require medical training to use.
Collaborating with community leaders and health care practitioners, you and your teammates continue important educational campaigns to help prevent HIV and AIDS in schools, clinics and community centers. Teach life skills and self esteem, and support campaigns to postpone starting sexual activity at an early age. Your compassion and influence can save a life.
