Potable Water and Sanitation Facilities
School administrators and teachers often don’t have sufficient financial resources to provide safe water and adequate sanitation facilities for students, so some schools become havens for infectious disease. Further, adolescent girls will often quit attending schools where latrines are unsanitary or not divided by gender. Global Volunteers works with community partners acquire private and corporate funding for construction of clean water and sanitation facilities for schools.
