Welcoming the March RCP Newborns in Tanzania
What’s more fun than BABIES? In this series, we focus on the newest members of the Reaching Children’s Potential (RCP) Demonstration Program in Tanzania — newborns. In this post, we welcome four babies born in March 2022! Their moms joined the program to provide them a healthy start at life, and the nutrition and care needed to grow strong and realize their potential. Global Volunteers’ RCP Program helps parents deliver essential services to eliminate child stunting in the Ukwega Ward. It’s a child-focused, parent-driven, family-centered, and community-led comprehensive effort beginning with pregnancy, and continuing through the 18th birthday, with a focus on the first 1,000 days of life.
Four beautiful babies were born to RCP mothers in March at the Ipalamwa General Clinic. RCP moms are encouraged to give birth at Global Volunteers’ healthcare facility and are invited to stay in the guest house before and after the birth. Please join us in welcoming Strongman, Shuhudiwa, Promise, and Lusta!
