Reaching Children's Potential St Lucia

Earth Box Progress in Anse La Raye

TDSC00032[1]oday was the last day for “TEAM EARTHBOX” to give service in Anse la Raye. We have been fortunate to be lead by Marie-Louise Reid,  a community member absolutely passionate and very knowledgeable about agriculture in St Lucia.

The team started debriefing and discussing about the work that had been covered over the week and also some of the progress that has happened in the community over the last two years. Over one hundred Earth Boxes have been distributed throughout the community of Anse La Raye in an effort to provide a source of micronutrients for the children and families.

We ended our session by visiting and checking the garden boxes in some of the community homes. TEarth Boxes in the Anse la Raye Communityhis was a very heart rending experience to see some of the conditions that families are having to endure, but a particular shining light for me is the control that community members are beginning to take in using these wonderful earthbox inventions to provide a supplement to their normal everyday diets.
