Sicilian students, are eager to learn American English directly from native speakers to enrich their educational and career prospects. You and your children will craft your lesson plans using our Conversational English Teaching Guide, engaging students from kindergarten to high school in interactive activities and games. Conversations may delve into North American and Sicilian culture, history, lifestyle, sports, and education systems. The whole point is that have fun in English!
Poland
Minimum Age: 6
Engage one-on-one with Polish students, fostering cross-cultural understanding and language skills. Your children will discover the value of their education while sharing their English proficiency. Peru
Minimum Age: 7
At Sagrada Familia, a children’s home situated north of Lima, Peru, volunteering together as a family is a magical experience. The local children are wonderful, but their lives have been very difficult. You and your children will greatly enjoy playing with toddlers, teaching preschoolers games and songs, reading stories, practicing conversational English with grade schoolers, and learning about Peru from teens. Families of diverse compositions, from grandparents and grandchildren to daughters and mothers, fathers, mothers, children, and nieces and aunts, unite to bring joy to these children in need. The profound impact makes volunteering an unforgettable and rewarding journey for everyone involved.
St. Lucia
Minimum Age: 11
In rural St. Lucia, many children live well below the poverty line. They and their families do not benefit from the cruise ships or the all-inclusive beach resorts. Nevertheless, they are happy kids, but they need our help. The community leaders have asked us to help care for and stimulate children 1 to 5 through storybooks, arts, songs, crafts, and games; tutor reading, writing, and math to primary school kids, and assist with light labor projects, including cleaning and painting community buildings, and planting container gardens.



Family Volunteer Abroad: Asia
Nepal
Minimum Age: 10
Parents, teens, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews are most welcome. Teens learn valuable lessons about Nepali school life, while everyone experiences the rich Nepalese culture. Adults and minor volunteers are needed to help with teaching, mentoring, painting, cleaning, and sports activities.
Vietnam

Last summer’s inaugural camp in Hanoi brought something special to life, and this year, children from visually impaired families are ready to experience it again. Families of all kinds, parents, grandparents, siblings, teens, aunts, and uncles, are most welcome to join us as volunteers. Young volunteers will discover the rewards of mentoring and connection, while everyone gets a genuine glimpse into Hanoi community life. Volunteers are needed to help with English activities, games, songs, painting, and conversation, no teaching experience required, just warmth and enthusiasm. Together, we help these young learners build confidence, make friends, and discover that language can be joyful.
Family Volunteer Abroad: Africa
Tanzania
Minimum Age: 10
The contrast between Tanzanian village life and that of most American, Canadian, or European families is a profound lesson for all. Most people in rural Tanzania are among the most impoverished on the planet and their needs are many. Despite material poverty, family life is rich and brimming with joy. Families of diverse compositions join us in Tanzania when school is out during much of June, July, and August (in the northern hemisphere, it is summer, but in Tanzania, it is winter). Parents and teens, grandparents and grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews – everyone is needed and can be engaged. Teaching conversational English at all levels, painting and repairing schools and classrooms, working in the greenhouse, planting gardens, accompanying our staff on home visits, constructing chicken coops, and conducting parent workshops all help local parents in their efforts to raise their children.
