The Same Moon
“No matter what our differences are, we all look at the same moon.” We are preparing ourselves to leave. That does not mean to pack clothes. It means we are packing memories.
We may be discarding ideas or preconceptions we brought with us. But, we leave parts of ourselves with the children, Barlad, our new friends, and with each other. We leave some love to sustain the children until the next volunteers come. We accomplished our goals and made each day a little better for someone.
Whether in Barlad, Florida or Minnesota, we can look at the same moon and know that it watches over the precious children.
“It always seems impossible until it is done.” – Nelson Mandela
